Sunday, June 15, 2014, Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! all you wonderful family men! I no longer have a father or grandfathers here on earth but I still love and think about the ones in heaven! Hope this day is awesome for all the great fathers in the world.

Been celebrating the fact that my Minnie has not had a sick day since June 3rd!!!!! I am so happy that she is finally well and enjoying her life. She really is enjoying it too! Since rescuing me, Minnie has come to learn that she can get and do just about anything her little heart desires: I have created a Minnie Monster! She flat out refuses to take a walk unless she has on her favorite collar and leash, no longer lets me sleep until 8:30 but is up at dawn, raises Cain if I don't pick her up when she demands it, and runs and hides when it is bath time. She is ruling this household for sure! I love her to pieces!

I neglected to tell you about some of the items I have put in the shops lately; don't know where my head was when I wrote my blog posts the last few weeks! Here are some I didn't mention and you can see a larger version by clicking on the Latest Kit Previews tab above.

These items are available at Digital Designer Resources and Raining Digitals except for the June Love Hearts which are in my personal use stores.

Today's gift is a little summer word art and paper. Tomorrow's gift is a summer quick page.  Just click on the link below the preview to download.

This is the newsletter gift.

Sunday June 8, 2014

Hello Friends and Fans,

Well another sweltering summer week has passed here in the deep south of the U.S. I'm grateful to have had this past week.  Minnie only had one bad day since last Monday!  So, as dear departed Dr. Maya Angelou said, 'there's a rainbow in the clouds!' Did you get to experience Dr. Angelou's memorial service? It really gave me a lot to think about: How I whine and complain about the smallest things that really have no meaning in this world or this time.  All that is really important are our relationships: with our families, extended family, friends, neighbors, state, country, and all the citizens of the world, that is what will count when we are gone, the good we left behind in the hearts of mankind.

I managed to make some papers for the Digi Style Designs June CAK (Create A Kit) Father's Day. I love plaids and my Chris made it enjoyable to create them by teaching me her secrets! Thanks Chris Allport!

Speaking of Chris, I cannot let the day go by without wishing Richard Allport a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY, with many happy returns! Super guy, deserves a super birthday!

I am trying out something different this week: grunged decoupage. Basically what it means is I took a chipboard frame, roughed it up, splashed some ink notes on it, pasted a few scraps of paper, and also peeled off a magazine scrap that had stuck to it. A few rips, holes, and dirt later we have a grunged, decoupaged frame :)  It is this Sundays freebie and I hope you like it! Just click on the link under the preview to download.

Before I say goodbye, I want to give you a link to an awesome blogger, Vicki Chrisman! She touches my heart on a regular basis and I think you would enjoy this latest post of hers:

Happy Father's Day Guys!

Hello! Today is Father's Day in the English speaking countries; do you celebrate Father's Day today too?  My Dad has been gone from me since August 2008. Sometimes it seems like I haven't seen him since I was a kid and other times I remember him with my children.  He loved my girls to pieces and spoiled them rotten as every grandparent should.

We have had some rough weather this past week consisting of rain and electrical storms.  The worst one knocked out our power and cable and took out one of the trees in our front yard. The next day I went to the dining room window to survey the damage and saw 3 small rabbits playing beneath the fallen branches; I guess they felt somewhat hidden under those leaves.  We have a lot of wildlife around our house, how about you?  I know I should take photos of my animal visitors but I never seem steady enough to get a good shot.

I have your weekly Blog Gift for you today.  I made some brag book pages from my kit Retro Summer and will be offering one today and one tomorrow in my newsletter; I think I will make some additional ones for the milestone gift on my FaceBook Fan Page.

I hope you like this gift.

SORRY EXPIRED!

This is the one that will be in my newsletter tomorrow:

Thanks for stopping by!
